Redbox Project

 Free sanitary wear for young people 

Any young women needing sanitary products can now drop in and access free sanitary items. Tampons, sanitary towels and underwear are all available in the box.

We are the first youth hub in Kent to be part of the Red Box Project. A national initiative set-up by volunteers, which aims to see free sanitary products in schools and youth projects across the UK.

Any young girl can pop into the Grand and ask for the Red Box at reception or approach one of our youth workers.

A member of the team will confidentially help you. 

In 2018, it was reported that 1-in-10 young girls cannot afford to buy period products leading to many missing school as ‘period poverty’ is on the rise across the UK. We think it is essential that all young girls and the adults supporting them know there is help on hand if they need it. 

The Red Box Project restocks the supplies regularly, and is funded by public donations via their website. Find out more:
